@Peter: I read your book two days ago in one breath. Amazing book with made my brain jump and gain new point of views Smiley - I will contribute some questions/views to this forum in the next days.

I currently have some difficulties deciding in which language i should write keywords. Should i write it in german, english or both? For myself it is easier to search for german words, because if i think of a situation my brain automatically assign keywords in the spoken language. BUT i have a english audience, too.

What do you suggest?

That's a tough one.  It's probably dependent on the audience and distribution method of the work.  Hopefully translation software/utilities are not too far off.  First order of business is to start with the organizational work in a consistent manner.  Even if you had to translate manually if would be possible (but not much fun).

Surely the stock agencies have some answer to this question.

Maybe David Riecks will show up and weigh in.

Just an example:

I post sometimes photos to flickr (english) and sevenload (german). Flickr has an english audience, sevenload a german one. Both support keywords from IPTC.

Guess i always run in such "funny" situations  Grin

Would using both English and German be an issue? Just curious.

Not for me, but wouldn't it look kind of strange to the audience?

I like Paul's idea.  Put both in, if the workflow is not too onerous.
Sometimes the obvious answer is best...

I vote for Latin and Greek; afterall, most languages are derived from those anyway.  Oops, there goes my wicked sense of humor again ;-).  Angels, welcome to the forum.
