Is there a way to set up the renaming funtion in Import From Camera as follows, as I use the YEAR_JOB#_image number in my intiial files, then adding version numbers and even a descriptive name to the file name as it gets edited, but I always know the "negative" this way. The format is as follows:

Example:  2005_251_Sequence Number

I need the string for the YEAR_JOB_

I will use this only on the Primary Destination, with the secondary being left totally "camera native".

Thanks,

Well, read further in the book and can answer my own question!

Just type 2005_251_ & add the sequnce number element.

Too easy.

I must be in the same place.  I just need to get this straight.  (I'd try it myself but my operating system + just died & I'm on a borrowed computer.)  I want to add a date to my new names, BUT the date will be in code.  Can I just type, or cut & paste, into the rename options window, and then add everything else?  Thanks very much.
