I'm traveling and have my main catalog on my laptop.  I don't have access to my media files.  Is it possible to extract the 640 pixel preview from the catalog of selected images and save it as a jpg?  If so, how?

Dennis,
The only way to do that is a screen grab.

Peter,

Thanks.   Seems like it should be doable.  Add this to the wish list for the next version.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this can be done by selecting the image(s) and clicking Actions> Extract Metadata and selecting Image Thumbnails, then choosing the folder in which you would like the JPEGs to be saved.  Peter, I'm surprised you were not aware of this feature!

Cory,
I knew it was on the list, but had not discovered it yet.(It *is* kind of buried...) I could have sworn Shayne told me it had not yet been implemented.  Oh, well.

One more thing to cross off the list.  I'm glad it's there.

Extracting Thumbnails = Yes.
Extracting Full Screen Media Previews = No.

If the thumbnails is 640px, then extracting a JPG of this size is doable.
