Question about ChronoSync
«

Hi Peter,
Here is a really dumb question but simple to answer I suspect.
Can I use chronoSync to temporarily back up my entire harddrive before I upgrade from panther to tiger on my laptop. If so, do I make a folder on my backup drive and then sync my laptop harddrive to that folder? Or, do I need a different method or software like carbon copy to do the back up? I know chronosync will copy files and folders but will it copy the operating system? Sorry for my confusion. Help always appreciated.

Elsie,
I'd do a full Carbon Copy Clone before upgrading system software (for a .x increase like 10.3 to 10.4, not necessarily for a .x.x 10.4.4 to 10.4.5 increase).
