Is there a Photoshop (or iView) web gallery template that will show star ratings?

Mark,
I have not looked at this with iVMP3, but maybe Rick has. ;-)

iVMP does have the ability to show most categories of metadata in the galleries, so it could be pretty easy.

My personal solution is to force the best images (according to Ratings value) to the front of the gallery, so that they are easiest to find.

I really want a web gallery with dynamic metadata search, so that you could cross reference keywords/people/ratings and come up with groupings that are very targeted.  I'm working with someone to help bring this about, but it's going kind of slow.

In the gallery I use, the copyright information (as well as the file name) is displyed on the web page.  These are both metadata, and as such are extracted out of the metadata file.  It would make sense, then, that it would be fairly easy to extract and display the ratings as well.

All the latest generation iVIew HTML gallery templates are based on CSS (cascading style sheets) as opposed to simple HTML.  I have tried to do something similar by modifying one of the CSS templates.  I am no expert on CSS  and would have to invest more time than I have available to become fluent in CSS.  I am currently looking for a CSS wizard I can hire to customize the template.  If I have any luck, I'll post the code.

(I'm also needing to customize the CSS code on my blog -- I want the look of my website, my web galleries, and my blog to be seamless.)

If you know a bit about html you can hack the templates to get them to display pretty much any of the items in the meta data. eg if you want to put the label in the page you would insert  (iView:Label) somewhere in the body of the page.

There doesn't seem to be an iView tag for 'rating' but there are some user fields you could use but that would be a bit more of a hassle. If you're interested you could request that iView add support for this.

The documentation on html galleries should be in you application folder (assuming you have v3).

One of the downloadable galleries (WS blanco or something like that) has a facility to show/hide exif/iptc data which is quite neat - iof would be fairly easy to customise it (eg to remove items of exif data you don't want to display) by hacking the template.
