Hi,

I'm new to this forum and just have read the DAM book for the first time. I think I'll have to read it still a few more times... I have many question but this one belongs to this forum (I think...).
I have a fe hundred badminton pics of the European championships. I did all the annotating stuff. Simple stated: I've put the names of the players in the keyword field (big advantage of this is in iView Media Pro; I have immediately a list of all the players).
My image database is Coppermine. Now my question... Is there an easy way to copy the contents of the keyword field in the caption field? I did a search but didn't find something... And yes: it would be nice when I put Gail Emms that automatically England, ... are added.
Thanks anyway for this book and forum because I think DAM will be THE challenge for digital photographers now and in the coming years!

Are you asking how to do this in iView or Coppermine?

Oops... I'll try to be more complete next time... Preferably in iView or Bridge so the info stays in the original file.

This could be done via scripting, but the scripts probably don't exist at this point. (I have not checked).

Keywords are for words and phrases, and captions are generally for complete sentences.

Why would you want to do this?

Peter,

I want to this because Coppermine takes the caption field to put under the pics. Until now, I never used the keyword field and put the name of the player (for instance) in the caption field. Starting with DAM I've put every info in the necessary fields so the name of the player(s) in the keyword field. Until now, the caption field is empty but for my badminton albums caption will always be the same as keyword(s). Thanks anyway for your help!
