Hi Peter,
Attending your DAM seminar at NJ ASMP last February has been an epiphany for me.  I am now fully devoted to my own, slightly adjusted, DAM workflow.  I have a question for you.  Do you know about Image Ingester, a freeby that allows for quick image import from cards, etc?  I have been using it, with great results.  Since I never was able to make the "Import from Camera" script work properly, this was a welcome discovery.  Among the other things, Image Ingester can convert to DNG during the import process.  What would be the disadvantages of doing that?  I personally can see only advantages.
Thanks,

Sergio

Sergio,
Thanks for the nice words.
Yes I know about Image Ingester (Marc is a frequent visitor to these forums).  I am telling people that it is the replacement for Import From Camera, since it seems to be more stable and capable.  Big hats off to Marc for making this software and distributing it freely.

Sergio,

Camera Raw adjustments are much quicker with the proprietary Raw files due to the lack of an embedded preview that must be updated in the DNG's.
