I am shopping for a digital projector so I can share my photographs with both smaller and larger groups.  The immediate and most important need is to project images in my studio, which is about 30' deep, to a group of about 30 people.  I anticipate occasionally using the projector for larger audiences in bigger venues, perhaps at the most 100 people with a screen size (diagonal) of about 10'.  I am a longtime professional photographer, so would like to purchase a projector that would provide quality at least comparable with projecting 35mm slides.

The amount of information and varied opinions on the internet regarding digital projectors is overwhelming, yet I have had a hard time obtaining what I consider good advice.  Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks for the suggestions.  In the meantime I had contacted two well known photographers (including Peter K.) who do a lot of lectures and av presentations, and got advice from both of them.  I ordered an Epson Powerlite 1850W - a reconditioned one directly from Epson.  Mark Weidman

^Looks like a nice projector.  How are you getting on with it.
