Multi-User DAM with Version-Control

I am a designer and searching for a solution for our small webdesign agency with about 10 people.
We want to catalogue, tag, and quickly search our image-files (eps, psd, ai, jpg, tif, png, etc.). An integrated version control system would be really great. It seems to be very complicated to find a cheap solution that fits our needs. Maybe someone have an idea.
The situation:
- All our data is stored at a local server (shared network-drive)
- All files are spreaded in many projectfolders with subfolders, with many files that are no images. The overall size of all files is about 1TB.
Here are our requirements:
- multi-user-setup with network integration
- possibility to edit metadata (add keywords)
- quick searching in all projectfolders for specific images (keywords and filenames). And filter out the non-image-files
- good integration in Adobe CS4 (we want to upgrade to CS6, when its available)
- Version-control for photoshop-files
- the possibility to grant users different access-rights
- as cheap as possible
I hope, you have some tips. Thanks in advance!
Simon
ps: sorry for the bad english

I'm interested to find a multiuser solution but on this moment it's not a big issue for me. Still working with Expression Media and with distributed catalogs it's workable to work on them with 2 persons. So i'm not looking very active but i'm following the various discussions on the topic.
