The DAM book clearly states the importance of write-once media. I've been using DVDs so far but it's becoming a real hassle as my photo library grows.

The book states that sometimes you can make a hard drive read-only or write-once. Ideally, I'd like to be able to write files to the hard drive easily, and once they are on the hard drive the files become read-only. That way the existing files can't be overwritten/corrupted, and I can still add new files to the hard drive.

Are there any software/hardware solutions for this?
