Where is a good referrence/start point/guide for building a long term Keyword list to use in Bridge. I have been adding words that relate to my work but I am curious to whether I am doing this right on not. So, where does one begin?

Ken,
For the moment, build keyword lists that are useful to you.  I expect that sometime in the near future, we will get interchangeable keyword lists that let us classify our images for inclusion into a larger, controlled vocabulary collections.  For the moment, apply the handful of keywords that will make your images discoverable to you and other people who might have an interest in your photos.  This would include subject, client and usage information on a basic level for most of your collection. As the tools get better, and as you identify images with more value, you can assign more specific keywords and terms.

Remember, do the work that pays you back first. And don't go DAM happy.
