This is my current workflow --

Original RAW (NEFs) –> process in DxO –> export as DNG –> Lightroom –> TIFF/JPEG

I often use Photoshop CS4 instead of Lightroom.
Sometimes I use  Capture NX2 after Photoshop export to TIFF.

Where in my mish mash of a workflow would IDimager fit in?

IDImager would replace Lightroom.

That's how I'm using it. If Adobe had only multi-user enabled Lightroom's network support (instead of using SQLite) then I might be using Lightroom, since it integrates so nicely with Photoshop.
