Hi,

I just started using Chronosync and am in the middle of my first backup.  I'm backing up to a WD NAS drive that is formatted as it came....suitable for both PC and Mac.  I am running mostly Mac, but it's not impossible (say 40% chance) that I'll also want to connect a PC to the drive at some point.

My question, since I know that a non-HFS won't handle "all" of the metadata associated some some files, is whether I should start over, reformatting the HD with HFS.

I'm running LR -- the main reason for the backup -- but also would use the drive for iTunes and such.

Advice?

And I"m also seeing posts on various forums that as a NAS drive, the formatting of it doesn't matter.   Just wondering, should I leave well enough alone or for the long term am I better off reformatting this thing?
