I have a big library of pictures which I managed in Expression Media. Each picture goes through different stages like location tagged, people tagged, etc. Each such stage is represented by a particular color. Lightroom has the same function (color labels). I imported some pictures for testing but I am missing:

1) The stages/labels I mentioned above
2) The location information (country, state, city, etc, in the Annotation section of EM)
3) Other location information (home, park, etc, in the Annotation section of EM)
4) List of people in the picture (in the people section of EM)

Obviously, I don't want to do all this again as it was a LOT of work. So somehow I must be able to import the tags into Lightroom 3. Sync Metadata did not do anything. Any input is appreciated.

Take a look at my Search and Replace plug-in. It has a feature for migrating the data (using the XML file output by EM's Action > Extract Metadata command).

Sync Metadata works with the location info. People data is more difficult as Lightroom's treatment (via the IPTC Extension field) isn't as helpful as that in EM.
