Broken Links and Backing up Iview

Hello,

Iview is not operating normally.  Many files and thumbnail images are now missing and the links are broken.  I can't figure out what happened.  I have a back up, and I was considering just replacing my main version.  This leads me to my next question.....The files on my back up version of Iview points to my main C drive archive instead of the archive on my back up.  If my C drive goes down I'm afraid I'll be disabled. Any back up suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
