I have been using EM to organise my video clips with keywords and labels etc, however it just dawned on me today as to whether or not I can write the annotations back to the files. I made a few tests syncing annotations and then opening the files in a new catalog but no info comes with them so I would have to start again from scratch.

I'm worried that if I have to start a new catalogue or migrate to another system at some stage that none of the keywords, ratings etc will be transferred with the files.

Does anyone know a way around this problem?

thanks

Greg

I discovered this quite a while back, I think maybe the only way after downloading the files may be to make some kind of sidecar files? there is a thread about DAM for video files on here, you could try searching for it.
