Anyone using DNG Recover Edges?

Do any of you use the DNG Recover Edges utility? For all images or only for special cases?
I've tested it a little bit and so far the recovered pixels seem to be good quality compared to the interior of the image. But I'm interested in other findings.
For any of you who have moved to a DNG workflow it seems close to a free lunch to get more "image" per photo.

I use it occasionally on DNGs created from Nikon D100 files and the extra few pixels (12 in every direction) are perfectly usable. On just one image it allowed me to get the edge of something into the frame. I wonder why they don't just roll it into the DNG converter as an option.
