IPTC Extensions not in Metadata Panel

All,

The IPTC Extensions are in the Metadata Templates however I can't seem to get them to appear in the Metadata Panel (when in Metadata configuration) in bridge.  I have clicked them on, off, put information in them and used that template on files - old files, new files (NEF files only) - with no luck.

Any suggestions?  Are we out of luck in this?

Which version Chris? They should appear in CS5 - see links from here

Version CS5.  I get all the regular IPTC Metadata, but then as soon as I get to Extensions - specifically Person Shown, Location in which the image was created, with Sublocation, City, Province ETC, Location Shown with the same info I only see these in the Create Metadata Template.  I don't see anything in the IPTC Extensions in the Metadata panel on the main screen of Bridge in Metadata mode.

Found "File Info" (DUH) and I see the IPTC extensions there with all the info added from the Metadata template.  I just want to have that info also available on the Metadata panel in the main screen of bridge when in Metadata mode.  I don't see why it wouldn't be.  You should be able to put everything there that is in the Metadata templates and file info.

OK, it's a version issue - as mentioned in my linked post. You'll have to wait until I return home and update the panels.

Hi Chris,

Similarly frustrated I found this post on the Adobe Forums: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/663654?tstart=0

Basically says displaying the IPTC Extension fields in the metadata panel of Bridge 4.0 (the CS5 version) is not possible at this time. Maybe Adobe will fix it, maybe they won't, so for the time being, the File Info route is the only way to edit these data fields in Bridge.
