illumitran lens question

I bought a Bowen Illumitran and discovered that built-in flash unit on top of Fuji S2 bumps into the top of the rail, preventing it was seating properly. I added PK-13 extender to raise the camera to raise it above the rail. Now repro lens that came with unit will not focus on a 35 mm slide. Tried 75 mm enlarging lens and that's too long. Before I buy a 50 mm enlarging lens, I was hoping someone could tell me if that length lens will work. I want try this before I pull bellows etc. and use as a copy stand.
Thanks for reading this and for any help you can provide.

Charles,
When I tested Illumitran, I came to the conclusion that it was not really suitable. If you want to try to use it, I suggest putting the whole thing on a copystand, and use a macro lens on the camera.
The other thing about the Illumitran is that the flash was too powerful for my cameras - I needed to stop way down - past the point of maximum sharpness on my lenses.
