Metadata Standards for AV & other files ?
«

I have to organize a DAM project for a very large archive that, besides photos, also includes digital files of audio, video, PDFs, PPTs, DOC and other varieties.
I'd like to ask if IPTC has a recognized metadata schema for these formats or if anyone can recommend other recognized international
standards for these types of files. I don't want to reinvent the wheel and I would prefer using something that would be interchangeable at a
future date based on accepted standards. Any help is appreciated.
Links to online resources would be great!
Thanks.

iView Media Pro can help you to set up the metadata for your video and sound files, but they haven't gotten to where they can manage any document style files yet (pdf, doc, etc). This is what I use for all my media files.

Not sure what you mean by "manage document styles yet"
iView can open and page through both PDF and Word files.

What I mean is that you can't get it to open or display word or pdf files in iView. I know their product literature said something about it "coming soon".

Ward,
What version of iView are you running? This works currently for me.
