I have had a look at it via direct contact with the developers. I've not really had time to make my mind up about it yet, but it got past my first test - most trials get installed and almost immediately trashed. This program was interesting enough to stay on my computer, and I was very impressed with its speed. Well worth a look.

I agree that this shows promise, although there are some important things missing at the moment.

Siegfried,
There is some cool stuff in there, but it is missing (or I'm not finding) a couple things. I don't see a plain representation of the filesystem (the folder structure) anywhere. This makes me feel lost as to what I'm looking at.
Additionally, I don't see a way to easily browse image by characteristic - "Show me what keywords/dates/locations/authors are represented in the catalog and let me select all images with a certain trait"
All of that stuff is in the database, they have not (yet) exposed it for the user to make use of.

This is disheartening. I just printed out the 75 page manual so I could figure out how to "see" my folder structure (rather than groups which I don't really want or need) and how to get instant search results by clicking keywords. Doesn't sound like this has either? Too bad: so far this was looking like the software I wanted!

Nevermore(name?)
Dont give up on them. They are working on the software. All this stuff is in the database, they just need to expose it to the user. Hopefully they will hear people who want this capability and add it before too long.

There is movement at Ant Zero they have just published their server.
Download demos are available.
