Chronosync question
«

I'm using Chronosync to move files from a 250GB drive to a new 1TB drive in a Burly box. I got this message after an overnight process:
"An error occurred
The operation failed because the user does not have the correct access to the file: /Volumes/Originals_02/.Trashes"
I checked ownership of this volume through "Get Info". Read and write is selected. I searched the volume for a folder named Trashes - there is none. After aborting the transfer, I saw that only 32 of 45 folders were transferred and they aren't sequential, i.e. I have folder 1, 3, 4, 6, etc.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Peter

Assuming you're using the latest version... make sure you have both sides set to "local volumes - admin access". ".Trashes" is an invisible system level file presumably tracking what's in the trash. As a system level file you won't be able to do anything to it without admin access on both sides of the sync.

Thanks. I had it set for "Local Volumes". I'll try it again.

I used to get that message when trying to copy an entire volume. I'll try the (Admin access) option - thanks for the tip.
