My camera is a Pentax K200D that has the option to shoot straight into DNG. I have selected this option to avoid the DNG conversion and to simplify my workflow. With ImageIngester (I have just started using it) , if I add metadata the program creates a sidecar file for each image. If you shoot in RAW format the sidecar can be integrated in the DNG file at the conversion stage. However, as I am using native DNG files from my camera there is no DNG conversion. Is there a way to embed the metadata in the DNG file and to avoid the sidecar files? Thanks.
