iView and AI (CS4) Files

I am trying to catalog a couple of AI files that have been generated in Illustrator CS3 and CS4 and iView keeps crashing when it tries to generate a thumbnail. Any ideas what I can do to either prevent it from making the thumbnail or go about making it work as it is supposed to?
I'm on a Mac on Leopard and using iView, not Expression Media.

It's probably crashing Quicktime.
No idea about the fix.
