That's probably accidental! The upgrade involved moving from a beta version of the forum software, and that meant I transferred the essential data such as posts and who wrote them. Other less critical stuff got left behind. Because of that, all existing posts now show as unread. The Mark as Read button would correct this.

John, the Mark as Read button doesn't work correctly; I just used it but it only marked as read those boards I had been visiting just prior to hitting it.

Sorry about that Dierk. I must admit that I'm not going to do anything about it though! Dealing with the hack and then migrating the database consumed far too much of my time, so that's something we'll have to live with - it affects me too.
