I just noticed that there is more space used (around 5 Gb) on an "Originals" external than there is on the corresponding "Originals - BU" drive. What would you do in this case? Figure that stuff happens and spend your time better elsewhere or try to see what's different? If you would try to compare to find the differences, what's the best approach? Is there some software that will do this and flag the differences?

Thanks

Peter,
If the disks are of different sizes, then the block allocation can be different. A file will take up a whole number of blocks, no matter the size of the file.

If the disks are the same size, I'd consider cataloging the drives, and seeing if I can spot any differences.

Do you run drive utilities on a regular basis?
