Image Verifier - speed and run in background

It has just been running for 1h 30 mins on one DNG with check/ store/ create hash nad it hadn't finished it
I then removed the check boxes to create orcheck the hash, and stopped after 20 mins -not completed the first file.
the file opens ok

Also can it be set to run in the background so I can do other tasks on the computer?

What's the size of that DNG? How was it produced?

I'm not sure what you are asking about running in the background so you can do other tasks. What is it that you are not currently being able to do?

A restart of IV sorted the speed problem. I can do all my tasks (Accounts etc (non photo)), but would like to be able to minimise the screen, so I don't click something in error.
How long does adding hashes take? Is it worth doing to DNGs in the archive folder, to see if thay are altered in the future?
