May 20th, 2009 - Camera Scanning - using a digital camera as a scanner
One of the most promising developments in the scanning of film images is the use of a digital camera to digitize massive numbers of images very quickly. Using inexpensive equipment along with a digital camera, we've been able to make more than 1000 high-res scans of black and white film in a single day. This technique also works extremely well for color transparency film - providing a reproduction-quality scan for pennies apiece.
