copying catalogue info to new catalogue

Can anyone help me by telling me how to bring all of my keywords from one iview mediapro 3 catalogue over to a new media pro 3 catalogue? I am keeping a separate catalogue for all of my jobs from a couple of years ago and don't relish the thought of re-entering all of my keywords...

Oliver,
I've never tried this before, but you could try making a copy of your current catalog then deleting all your images from the new catalog.

I've used a different method and that's to have a master image, in DNG format. It is linked to most of the categories I have in iView, excluding backup bucket information etc. When I create a new category (or sub set of) I attach this image to that category and make sure I synch it out to the XMP data. Then on another catalogue I can synch in this image to ensure that my key categories are in line between catalogues.
It's certainly not the best method but as it's still early days for categorizing my images - it's taken me several months to ensure I have good sets of backups of my images - it will do until something better is suggested. It can be confusing as I have a category to show which camera I used - this master image was been taken by all my cameras! I don't know what the maximum record length is for the iView category field. That will probably be the limiting factor in this crazy method!
