? on folders and drives won't reset

For some reason I can't get the ? to disappear on the folders and drives even if I try to reset the path.  I've tried doing to the entire drive and then each of the folders.  When I do the folders  the folders go away and are no longer listed.  Strange. Running Xserve with 10.5 installed.

Geoff,
Sounds like you may have a catalog corruption. Do you have a backup of the catalog?
If you make a new catalog does this and the other warning problem disappear?
