Hierarchical Keywords LR2 -> xMedia2

If this has been brought up (I'd think it should have been by now)— my apologies, I couldn't find anything on it.


I'm enjoying Hierarchical Keywording in Light Room 2 but the Hierarchies do not translate over to xM2 how should I set up LR2 so that my Hierarchies appear correctly in my xM2 catalog??

Without testing - if you assign images to hierarchical keywords in LR, EM2 then reads that assignment, doesn't it? Or are you trying to copy the structure over into EM2 (which isn't possible except via images).

I'm not sure it has been brought up by now, though the problem of keeping HKs in sync across machines and apps is something I've ranted about (here) and led me to abandon hierarchical keywording entirely.

No they sure don't. I've got a whole bunch of little league photos that I've used LR2 to HK... such as Team -> Auburn Whitesox and Name -> Carlen Moore

When that same file is imported into EM2 I get no HKs at all and Ks of Team, Auburn Whitesox, Name, Carlen Moore - In other words, I get a mess. :-(

OMG I"M AN ID-10T !!! NO!!!! :-) Hahaha

Yes the HKs were coming in fine - I do get the extraneous NAME and TEAM keyword but *blush* I didn't know I had to pull up the dividing bar to see my HKs in EM2!!! (I'm still green to EM over iView!)

I'm going in another direction with this, from IMatch to EM2 with no success thusfar.  Could you please send me one image that has properly imported in EM2 with Hierarchical Keywords?  This way I can see what format is necessary and can write the appropriate values in IMatch for reading in EM
