Hi Marc,

I am using a quick field to input the name of my camera. I put the following in my Folder Arrangement and Names. And it worked as I wanted.

Code:
{@QF.camera}_{@numberrange}

Then I thought I would try to set it up so that if the camera quick field was empty it would just use the number range. So I changed it to the following.

Code:
{@QF.camera,0.-1,_}{@numberrange}

This creates an entry in the Quick Fields entry area with the title "camera,0.-1,_". I can put something in this new field but now I will only get a number range folder created.

It is probably something you never tested for but it would be convenient if it worked.

Louie--

Try "camera,0,-1,_", with commas.

Hi Marc,

I just double checked and I did use a comma not a period in the actual form entry and when I do that it really behaves strangely. The title in the QF entry area is "camera,0,-1,_".  The previous value entered in the QF for this field seems to stay around even if it removed from the visible form. There is something funny happening with my presets that I can quite figure out.

I will try some more tests  and let you know what I learn after I get back from a trip to Mexico next week.

Louie--

You may want to use II's Macro Lab for these tests.
