I saw this posting by victoria Bampton at LR Forums: http://www.lightroomforums.net/showthread.php?t=2073.  It seems that Tom Hogarty has announced 1.2.0.0 for the DNG specification: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2008/05/dng_specification_vista_dng_co.html.

For me I was interested to see that Adobe has a codec for DNG, but it is for Vista only . . .  :-(

I'm looking forward to one for Windows XP as I really do not want to buy one to use XM2.

There is no plan to bring one out for XP.

OTOH I have XM2 running under XP and don't believe I have any codec installed.

John -

I can not see my dng's at all with XM2 on XP.  If you are I had better do a investigating as to why.

I woud consider changing to Vista (only my laptop has it) if I could get drivers for my scanner.  Now I have not looked for new scanner drivers in the past year . .

Thanks for the tip John

You probably need to install QuickTime. I have QuickTime installed and no DNG codec.

Patrick.
