What I mean is is version2 out of Beta? Regardless is 1 to 2 a free upgrade so that whateer I buy won't matter.

Don't want to loose monwy or have a catalog that won't pgrade to a newwe EM version!

Yes I am a complete newbie!!

Never Archved.

While I am here are " Buckets" from te DAM book what it is mainly all about? Archiving that is. Is there any other set of concepts or readig I need to worry about.

Do yo mix all your work into one catalog or one for showcase oe for jobs one for personal work?

Hi Ronan,

Have you read Peter's book? The concept of Buckets is explained there.

Version 2 is out of beta, though several issues have not been resolved. Opening older formats [in this case catalogue files] has rarely been a problem; I'd say 'never' but I cannot be sure some programmer once had trouble coding such that older formats are supported in newer program versions.
