DNG conversion on folders of mixed file types

I have the system sorted for any new images now, and am working on migrating all my old files.  I have set up parallel folders between my old and new archives and doing ranking, metadata etc in Bridge then want to use DNG converter for bulk conversions.  The problem is my old folders have RAW, jpg and a few tif's in them.

If I use DNG converter to copy to a new location I don't get the other files moved.  If I move all, then run DNG in place on the new folder I'm left with all the old RAW and THM files to delete manually.

Is there a more elegant way to handle this?

I agree it's an issue.
A this point, there is no particularly elegant solution. If it were me, I would move the non-RAW files, and then convert the RAW files to DNG, and re-integrate.  

I would like to see a way for that to happen more automatically. Either DAM software will need to use the DNG converter as a helper application when converting/transferring files, or the DNG converter would include an option to bring along non-RAW files upon conversion of a folder (preferable).

We will see who gets there first...

thanks Peter... you have saved me many hours of trying to figure out what obvious solution I was missing!

I think I'll just keep going manually deleting the THM & RAW files afterwards - if I sort each folder on Date Created I can select them all quickly and delete them.  I just need to keep my wits about me to make sure I select the right files.

If you're using Bridge (or iView or other program), just sort the folder by File Type. This makes it really easy to delete your CRWs and THMs in a few seconds.

Personally, I would use iView to manage the conversion for a number of reasons.  The running count of all file formats (organize panel) is one main one.  I also like the responsiveness of iView in performing finder level functions compared to Bridge.
