Hi,
In Peter's book there's a suggestion to name the derivative buckets as DVD_001.DVD_002..etc...Thats' fine..The question I have is as  folllows..If say my original file is in the RAW_001_060202 bucket should the derivative file be in a corresponding derivative bucket ie. DVD_001 or it does not matter ?

Since if the derivative is renamed apprpriately with say DRV at the end you can always locate the file name or I guess if you want to fancy you could add a Derivative keywords in the metadata.

thanks for you input.

Just to make clear, my derivative buckets do not correlate to the original buckets. (A file in RAW_123 is not going to be in DVD_123).

As you surmise (and as I write in the book), you use cataloging software to find those derivative files. You can also search by filename, if you have an original and need to find it's derivative Master.
