Good morning -

I just got a new iMac and had the folks at Apple successfully transfer everything over from the old hard drive to the new one.  While playing with the computer last night, I somehow (don't ask) managed to have all the folders under "Pictures" removed and all the image files (over 1,900 of them) placed in one large folder - some goofy thing with iPhoto and recovering photos.  When I open iView now, all the thumbnails are there, but they all say "original media file missing," which makes sense since the folders are no longer there.  Is there an easy way to fix that?  Is it possible to go in to iView and ask it to point the thumbnails at the overall "Pictures" folders since that's where all the images are now?  Or do I need to go in and rebuild all the folders so that the iView thumbnails are pointing to the same location as before I screwed up?

Two positives.  At least I didn't lose any images.  And wow, is my new iMac fun!  Thanks for any help...

Hi Brent,

Go to the Catalog Folders panel in Organize. Ctrl+click the uppermost folder and choose 'Reset Paths'. Now point to the new directory and all the missing items will be found.
