Any insights into when Microsoft will release a new version of Expression Media? I sure am getting tired of the <2 GB limit on catalog size.

I've noticed some quirks with the latest version of Quicktime on Windows. It's hard for me to imagine that Microsoft will keep Apple's Quicktime as an essential component of Expression Media. Any indications if this will change?

It sure seems like a looooooong time since we've had any real changes in IVMP/EM. I'd happily switch to something better -- but there ain't nothing better I can see for heavy-duty DAM.

Try IDimager.

IDimager looks intriguing. From what I've read so far, it appears to be the work of one dedicated individual, which can be both good and bad. E.g., Good: He can be quick and agile for rapid improvements to the product. Bad: He gets hit by a bus (if he wasn't quick and agile enough Cheesy.)

Of course, Microsoft has a gazillion employees, and since 2006 the new features they've added to IVMP have included ... uh ... wait, don't rush me ....... Huh

As I've said before, my requirements are simple: "I want it, and I want it now!"
