I want to add Catalog Sets that will help me keep track of images that I've registered with the LoC and those that need to be registered going forward.

I created a REGISTERED and an UNREGISTERED set, but I'm struggling with a way to separate out the images that have been registered from the entire catalog. I have copies of the DVDs that were sent to the LoC. I thought to create a new catalog from one of these, add a set named REGISTERED and then hope to find a magic way to take that information into my primary catalog. I'm not seeing the magic, though.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I'm continuing to look at this for a solution. Another factor that I see is that since all of the files from the DVD are jpegs, the filenames don't match. That limits a couple of ideas that I had.

Peter,
I'm assuming that there's no kind of directory parallel between the registration DVD and the primary archive.

I think first, catalog the DVDs. Then, you might want to try using the date field and see if that can help. Open up the catalog of DVD images, and then open up the primary catalog.  Open the two date finders and see if you can select the images that way.
