Hi Peter,

Here is my problem:  I took some pictures with the wrong date set on the camera.  No. 1  can you change the "date created metadata" or are you stuck with that?  no.2  When you convert to DNG do you loose that info anyway.  It appears that the date created refers to the date that the dng was made.  no3.  Would it make sense to take these  dng pix out of IView, do a batch rename  in bridge and then put them back in IView.  Is this just asking for trouble?  Should I just move on?  Of course,  I already deleted my original Raw Nefs.

Any advice appreciated.  Sorry for the muddle.

Elsie,
1. You can change the EXIF Date created in iView. (Action>Set Capture Date)
2. When you convert to DNG you should NOT be losing this information
3. I would batch rename in iView rather than BRidge.  If you can't figure out how the Batch Rename works, then you could do it in Bridge
4. Yes, you're asking for trouble.
5. Just kidding
6. I would suggest that you hold on to the originals for a little bit before deletion.  At least until you have confirmed that the DNGs are fine.  I have a folder I put them in on my working drive. When I need room, I delete the oldest ones.
