I have been using Bridge for the last year to manage my images.  I have an extensive list of Hierarchical keywords (probably thousands) necessary for my stock photo business.  I just got Lightroom -- in fact the unopened box is sitting on my desk as I type.  I need the keyword list from Bridge to move into Lightroom just as it is.  Will this happen?  Is there a folder I need to copy into Lightroom?  I am terrified that all this work will get lost or messed up. Help!

To some extent, the keywords will be imported when you import the files, but your list may include items to which no files have been assigned, so....

On the keywords panel is a little menu. Choose Export, and save the output as a txt file on your desktop. Then in Lightoom, import this file through Metadata > import keywords.

Thank you!  But just to be sure I know what you're saying. You mean on the keywords panel in Bridge I select export from the menu??

I will try this this weekend after I read the gettign started guide.
