Peter, Comment and a question.  Based on the notification at the iView site, I bought your book in November.  Thank you for this book.  Cool As an iView MediaPro user and new (two yrs. now) to serious digital photography, your book has saved me many mistakes.  I am using the sync function with Bridge as you suggest, and have aligned the labels and stars.  I am interested in using the IPTC News Codes as values for my subjects per the IPTC Subject Reference System Guidelines / v 3. e.g.
Subject Matter = Primary keyword
Subject Detail = Secondary keyword
Keyword = Unlisted Keyword
Based on the lists in the Standards.  I have the some PDF and XML downloaded, but can't figure how to incorporate this data into iView or Adobe for that matter without rekeying it all manually.  I have found the iView Preferences Vocabulary Editor and found the files via desktop.  So here is the question;
Is there a specific format or import technique needed to populate the files used by the applications?  I can't find any detail in your book or the iView manual.  I am not a programmer anymore, and am looking for a script or perhaps a text file copy idea.  Your feedback on this would be very helpful.  Thanks for the book, it put things together for me, and at least I am no longer drowning in the data.

I seem to remember that there was some document that had these codes already entered. It may have been just a partial sample, or it may be that it was complete.

Have you checked the iView forum to see if anyone has made a document like this?  If someone makes it once, I think it can be shared easily.

Let us know if you find a resource for this.

Peter, appreciate the reply.  I'll check the iView Forum.  If I find such a document, or perhaps I could create a text file by cut and paste from the IPTC PDF file.  I'll let you know.
