Peter,

Until there's a fix for this bug (with the diagnosis script?), I'll stick to my current routine of manually applying the color label in iView.  It's not that big a deal - just another step to remember.

iView is not using the Urgency field for the colored labels as I mentioned in this thread http://thedambook.com/smf/index.php?topic=165.new#new.  I don't know what they are using, but it does seem to cause an adverse affect with Photoshop and possibly even Bridge whenever you sync colored labels in iView.

I haven't seen any adverse effects.  What are you or others experiencing that you believe is related to this issue?

Rick,

So far I've only experienced a problem with colored labels and Convert Image Files in iView.  Of course, iView not using the Urgency field correctly is also a potential problem.  Check out this thread for more info http://thedambook.com/smf/index.php?topic=239.0.

So it sounds like you haven't had any issues with Photoshop or Bridge, correct?  That's good because the iView ones are more of a nuisance than a problem.

Ok, I just saw the issue you're having with an image in Photoshop after using Convert Images in iView in another thread.  I haven't tried that one yet, but if I get a chance I will.

I'm supposed to talk to iView tomorrow.  In the meantime, I have been assured that they are still using the Urgency field to hold and transfer the iView Label value.  We hope to make some headway sorting this out tomorrow.

I may call on some of you with this problem to correspond directly with the people at iView.

Anything I can do to help, let me know.  Manoj and I are old buddies by now.  Grin

Peter,

I just did a little more testing with the Urgency field tonight.  It works one way correctly for JPEG's, that is iView to Bridge, but not the other way, and I am doing a sync annotations for import with prefer original.  It doesn't work either direction for DNG's.  Hope that helps.
