DNG converter parsing errors, but not in ACR

I have been unable to consistently convert my Canon raw files into DNG with DNG converter. I get consisten parsing error messages. However, I can create
DNGs with no problem directly from ACR. I suspect that there may be some trouble with the the software relating to my new Canon 40D. The Camera Raw plug
in was just released that included this camera, but still, I get the error above with DNG converter. It would be nice to be able to use DNG converter again in the background,
as I can multi task that way. Anyone else having trouble after using Canon 40D files, or similar issues?

Is the DNG converter the same version number as your Camera Raw?
