Is there a risk transferring image files zipping them. Does a RAR affect the quality of a .jpg etc?

JPEGs are already compressed, as for images with an algorithm that is much better than RAR or ZIP [or most other compression algorithms]; you do not gain anything from zippibg/raring individual files, to the contrary the files will most likely become bigger. OTOH, since neither RAR nor ZIP lose anything permanently they can help making handling easier when several files are put into one archive [instead of a host of files just one to keep track of].

For your purpose you can savely use ZIP or RAR.

PS: Why did you put in all the Dutch text and most of the English?
