Hi,

Am using IIP Mac, latest beta and when I try to use {@project.name} in the metadata templates, it results in a blank field.
Checking the macro lab, it also shows project is blank, but client & card is OK.

Is this an error, or just me...

Also, it might be worth looking at the button labelling; to choose an image from the thumbnail screen, you click choose from the main screen, however if you don't want to use the thumbnail chooser and press start, you then have to press choose to select the inserted card.
The use of the same word is a little confusing...

Regards

Darren

Hi,

Think I might have another one...

No matter what you set in the Copyright Status dropdown within the Copyright tab, it doesn't make it through to a JPG XMP sidecar file.
Doing a file compare of the same file with all 3 settings gives no differences.

Also, whilst I'm here - how about allowing the IVMP label value to be set on Import (AKA Photoshop Urgency)

Regards

Darren--

I'll check out the {@project.name} issue.

Regarding Copyright Status... can you check your ImageIngester-IPTC.xmp template? The version of IIP with Copyright Status was supposed to install a new one. If you have your own, you'll have to add the appropriate macro. Let me know the case, and I'll provide further instructions.

Darren--

When I press the Run button in the Macro Lab, I see the project name from the main window drop-down as the value for the {@project.name} macro.

What is in the main-window drop-down when you run it?

Marc,

I have downloaded the latest beta and the problem remains - the macro seems to be blank, even though data is in the main fields - screenshot at photohosting.pengs.co.uk/iip.tiff

In this screenshot, I'm using my own template - Abingdon-IPTC; this is just a copy of the master ImageIngester-IPTC, but with the IVMP Status field being put into the Photoshop urgency field, so I can preset labels according to preference set...

I have checked the latest beta ImageIngester-IPTC.xmp file against the one I have already and they are identical.

Regards

Darren--

I've gotten several metadata/sidecar problems over the last year or so, and have always been able to solve them. I need (1) your template, (2) the generated sidecar. Send those along and I'll take a look.

Darren and I have been communicating privately. To close out this thread, the problem is now fixed in B17 for Windows and B25 for the Mac.
