Hi
i have a question about this software

does somebody uses this program?

i would like to know if Portfolio 8.5 supports a exif browser (browse only pics with 800 iso , or took in spot meter and so on)

i can download a trial version but my learning curve about a program is very very slow

so if somebody knows i would be happy
thanks

Giovanni,

I've never used this software but think I've found your answer in about 2 minutes.  Download the manual - http://dl.extensis.com/downloads/PF/EN/P/Portfolio8_UserGuide.pdf - and look at it.  Try pages 93-97 on the Find facility as that mentions Exif.

They also have the manuals in French and German, if you are more familiar with them than English.

Hi Mantra,

Short answer = yes. To do so you can map metadata to custom fields. Extensis do provide good documentation plus there is the excellent resource of Mark Anderson: Portfolio FAQ.

FWIW Portfolio is not a copy of iView, some may say iView copied Extensis Smiley. For a long time these were the only two DAM apps given any consideration by photographers. My how things have changed!
