Automate splitting original file types into separate folders?

I have folders where the camera original jpegs are mixed in with the RAW files.

Is there anyway with Photo Mechanic or ImageIngesterPro to automate the process of splitting them up into two seperate folders?

I would do this with iView, which easily lets you select only the JPEGs (or whatever file type) and create and populate subfolders.  You can also use iView scripting to embed the current folder names as keywords in the file so that you can find them later, no matter where you move them.

How did you batch rename the embedded in camera .jpg
so both .raw file and twin brother .jpg kept their same
sequence number (say whaterver-001.jpg and whatever-001.raw)
remained the same?

Now every batch rename I perform is creating a
whaterver-001.jpg and whatever-002.raw.

It's a densly .jpg populated folder containing
a couple of embedded .jpg twins.
I wish the numberring would go up looking at the next
.jpg in line whereas the renumbering software
should recognize an attached .nef as it hits it.

I don't know where in your workflow you rename or the capabilities of your renaming software, but having the OS sort by file type while the photos are on the card or after they are imported may help.  I assume there are image ingestion programs that take care of the renaming automatically.  I do it manually because, in addition to renaming the beginning of the file name, I append the RAWs and JPEGs differently.   My renaming program lets me create droplets so that I have several situations/cameras covered without going through a dialog box. It's a Mac only program though.
