The Adobe website still has the ACR3.3 beta, however, I found this ftp site that indicates a full release is now available for ACR3.3, and DNG converter.

For windows:
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/photoshop/cameraraw/win/3.x/

For Macintosh:
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/photoshop/cameraraw/mac/3.x/

instructions for both:
http://www.adobe.com/special/photoshop/camera_raw/Camera_Raw_3%203_ReadMe.pdf

I have tested this version of ACR3.3 and it does open Nikon D200 NEF raw files! By the way, this explains why I have been quiet on this forum for the past few days, reading the manual of course.

Actually ACR3.3 (not beta)  is available at the Adobe website as well as ftp. It just took a while to find it.

Windows:

http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3271

Mac:

Glad it's finally out.
I can claim some responsibility for a change Thomas made to this one.  It is a better file integrity confirmation tool.  There were some instances with previous versions where the converter would skip massively corrupted RAW files in the conversion and not return an error message. The new one will ALWAYS return an error message if it encounters a file with an extension that applies only to RAW files (like NEF, MRW, or CR2) and it cannot make a conversion of the file.

...actually, way to go Thomas.  One of the more amazing parts of this whole endeavor has been the opportunity to work with people who really know what they are doing.  It's been a real kick to see some of this stuff appear in the software that I know and love ;-)

Sara,

this is a common source of confusion. If your camera type has not been "re-calibrated" by Thomas Knoll with ACR3.3, the calibrate tab will show the last ACR version that had a calibration. Different cameras will be different.

In order to check which ACR version is running, go to Bridge>Edit>Camera Raw Preferences and you will see the version displayed at the top. By the way welcome to the forum.

Cheers ... Alan

By going Bridge>Edit>Camera Raw Preferences I show Version 3.2 being installed.

However, in Photoshop (Help > About Plug-In) I show two Camera Raw plugins.  The top Camera Raw says v3.2 in the dialog box popup, the bottom says v3.3.

I can see why this could be the source of potential confusion.   Grin
