I had a question i thought maybe you could help me
with...it pertains to building previews in bridge 2.1,
I have three or more subfolder of images inside a folder, i want
bridge to start  building previews for all these folders without
having to individually open each folder, can i do this from the
parent folder and a certain setting?

Thomas,
You need to select the parent folder, then, from the tols menu>Cache>Build Cache for subfolders
I don't think there's any way to tell Bridge to always build for any subfolders any time t sees some.

Peter  i selected the parent folder then went to Tools>Cache  but there was no option for "build cache for subfolders", the only options it gave in the flyout menu was " Build and export cache"  and  "Purge cache from folder XXXXX".   Am i missing something?

Thomas,

The flyout menu you want is "Build and export cache ...".  The dots at the end are important as it's the standard to tell you that another dialogue follows.   In this case the new window will ask if you want to Build cache for folder "XXXXX" and all enclosed folders?  There's a tickbox for exporting caches to folders.  I prefer the distributed cache so always tick this, even though in my cache preferences I've ticked the "Automatically export caches to folders where possible" option.
